Going Straight to Her Heart...

Hi all! Hope you all are doing well. So I guess the Olympics started?!?! I'm feeling lost in worldly news, but USA-USA-USA!! It's ok if Brazil sucks in the olympics cause we'll take the World Cup this summer😉

The weeks are fast and good here. We were able to find lots of new people this week. In specific, we went to an area Brasilandia with a few members in order to teach a lady about baptism. She had lots of questions for us and we were able to answer i think very well. At the end she told us everything we said, she already knew was true. She said she didnt feel the information was going to her brain, but to her heart. We explained that this was the Spirit testifying of the truthfulness of these things. It was truly an awesome experience of the power of the Spirit while teaching. I could definitely feel the same in that room! 

I have loved to see as i deepen my study of the scriptures all of the Church of Jesus Christs teachings in the Bible as well. We have the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ, but things we teach like the 3 degrees of glory that are unique to our church are right here in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 40-41! It's been a cool experience to see things like this in my daily studies.  

This week in church a less active family came for the first time in a couple years. The mom said she would love to continue back on this path and show a good example to her kids. One of her boys is 9 years old and hasnt been baptized yet. She wants to make sure he has a good understanding of the "Why?" of baptism, but we will work with him lots this week and see what happens! Most likely my last week here in Freguesia do Ó😔 i love this place but am looking forward to new opportunities in other parts of the mission!

Sao Paulo North about to get iPhones!

Haha so the long wait here in South America may be coming to an end. My cellphone from 2002 is gonna get a little bit better soon! My mission was chosen to do a flight project of more advanced cell phones for missionaries here in South America like they have in the U.S, Canada, etc. Its very slow going and we will have very little access to things but its an exciting step that I know will help us to be more productive and effective and overall help edify even more the kingdom of God here on earth. This week we are really working with some elects. Sadly, Bruno didnt work out this Sunday, but we are still working with him to be baptized this next week. But I am super super excited about the rest of the people we are working with. Sara first of all is way firm for this Sunday. She has made a huge huge progress recently. Taking cold showers in 50 degree weather!

this week our hot water/electricity stopped working exactly in the coldest week of the year hahah. But its mission memories so I was all down for it. When you get really hyped up its not even that cold. Hahah sometimes in my prayers I just ask the Lord for experiences. I dont specify the kind of experiences I want, but I know the mission is all about experiences so I've been able to have all kinds of experiences while here in Brazil. Thats what I love so much about the mission is you really never know what your day is gonna be like and who you will end of meeting, etc.  This week our focus was marking a date with Aldair. He has already been to church 3 times and had already accepted baptism, but we werent able to mark a specific date with him. When we went there on Wednesday, he was super firm in wanting to be baptized on this next sunday the 15th. We feel that he really was an elect from the Lord. He's a 55 year old man, he doesnt smoke, doesnt drink, doesnt drink coffee, ...
