Farewell Elder Lima de Silva

So this week is the start of a new transfer (6 week period with one companion in an area). Lima da silva has officially finished his mission and will fly home to Maranhão tomorrow. He was a good companion and a good friend but im excited for the new opportunity with a new companion coming up. I will stay in Freguesia do Ò as expected and will start with Elder Aguiar. I actually still dont know him because hes been in the interior of the mission. But what ive heard is that he is Brazilian, has about 7 months on the mission, and works really hard/is super obedient. Im excited for the opportunities we will have to work hard together and will meet up with him tomorrow, but for now im just with some other guys from my district.

This week while on division with another elder, i had a feeling that we should visit a past investigator that really wasnt progressing at all. She welcomed us in like always but this time she had lots of questions for us and was much more attentive. I think she had a friend that was telling her some false things about the church but we were able to clear everything up and talk a little about baptism as well. She told us she has a really strong desire to know about our church and should be there next sunday. It was a testimony builder to me to always pay attention to the Holy Ghost and the promptings you can receive from it. I never want to regret not taking heed to a feeling like that on my mission because I know the Lord will bless me for listening and acting.

We had a fast sunday this week and as a missionary, you pretty much go up every fast sunday to bear your testimony (im used to it now haha). I bore my testimony on Daniel 3. I would invite you all to take 10 minutes of your time to read that chapter. You will certainly learn so much about trusting in God and 3 men that were willing to submit to the will of the Lord. And in the end they are very blessed because of it. The world will always tempt us but we have a steady rock in our Heavenly Father that we can lean on!

I love you all have an awesome week!
