Meeting Alexandre

Another week down here in Brazil! The work was a little tough this week. We lost some time cause I had to go to the Policia Federal again for a day because it didn't work last time and then we had to pick up our stove and microwave for our house. But that was actually super nice cause it was a struggle without them for 4 weeks.

Gabriel, the 12 year old that has been coming to church every week that we wanted to baptize, was awesome again this week! But sadly we went to his house to talk to his mom who isn't a member about baptism and she turned us down real quick. He still comes to church and all the activities but there just isn't much we can do at this point with him. Rafaela, the pregnant girl, was sick this week and in the hospital, but i think she is doing better now and we are planning on teaching her this week! We have a full week planned including lessons with a guy named Alexandre and 2 of his kids. He is super solid and already sounds like a member of our church honestly. I'm praying that we can get through to him. 

The funniest thing from this week was just our experience going to pick up the stove. A member took us in this super old van. Haha i don't think it had any suspension. We would hit pot holes and that car would make sounds that would make you think the tires fell off. It had the belt for the seatbelt but no buckle, he told me just to sit on it and that would be safe enough haha. The roads are super bad here but people don't care. its just different here honestly its hard to explain. But, its what I love about this place!! The people are so awesome and so happy and I'm glad to be here for a little while.

Gurksnis, Grayson Robert Oi Presidente, tudo bem? Estou muito bem aqui no escritório. É realmente um privilégio de estar aqui trabalhando um pouco mais perto com o senhor. Sao Paulo North about to get iPhones!

Haha so the long wait here in South America may be coming to an end. My cellphone from 2002 is gonna get a little bit better soon! My mission was chosen to do a flight project of more advanced cell phones for missionaries here in South America like they have in the U.S, Canada, etc. Its very slow going and we will have very little access to things but its an exciting step that I know will help us to be more productive and effective and overall help edify even more the kingdom of God here on earth. This week we are really working with some elects. Sadly, Bruno didnt work out this Sunday, but we are still working with him to be baptized this next week. But I am super super excited about the rest of the people we are working with. Sara first of all is way firm for this Sunday. She has made a huge huge progress recently. The Lord prepares his elects for this work!! Baptism of Gilmara and Aline!!

What a week! The crazyness hasnt stopped and i dont think it will. But my first real week here in Perus was great. We baptized Gilmara and Aline yesterday! I cant describe the feelings i have when i see the happiness on the faces of people who are coming unto Christ. The baptism was definitely a memorable one.  Also I have an incredible experience from a splits I went on this week with another missionary in a sick area here on the mission. Its one of the missions literally in the mountains and forest. It reminds me of Colorado and made me miss my Jeep lol. But in the morning we were going after a few addresses of people that were contacted a while back. We werent having any success and I was feeling a little down and questioning why we were going after these people, but i went anyway.
