Transfer Week
This week we had a transfer and i officially finished my training as the financial secretary. Sooo im all alone now with lots of things to do lol. But we had a meeting with a financial representative of the church headquarters yesterday and that helped a lot. Also, we are gonna get to go to the church headquarters next to the temple in São Paulo for another training here in two weeks!!! and as a mission we are going to the temple and the newly finished São Paulo Temple Visitors Center on the 5th. Im wayyyy stoked!
The best part of this week was the stake conference we had on Sunday. I was able to see a few recent converts from one of my old wards and that was such a happy experience. One of these recent converts is Sara, who is thinking about serving a mission here in a little bit!! She will either do that, or marry a returned missionary lol so either way im pumped. She is super strong and ive got a good amount of people who have continued firm in that ward which is the happiest thing for a missionary. Monday night was the last night on the mission for one of my best buds Elder Rodrigues. We were comps in that area (Parada Pinto) and he wanted to do a splits in our old area and take one more spin there. We were able to see the couple we married and baptized there (Lucianno and Alessandra) who are super firm as well! The spirit was super strong with them. It was way sad as Elder Rodrigues left, but we all said a prayer together, each one thanking the Lord one at a time for something He had placed in our lives. It was so great to see a few of the fruits of my mission.
In our stake conference I also got to see my man crush President Bispo (our stake president) hahah...he gave an incredible talk about how to lose fear. He quoted 2 Kings 6:16 that says " And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them." I feel like that gives so much comfort to members of The Church today. Also, was talked about how Jesus Christ did everything he could to save his friends and how he was the ultimate missionary. I love to think about these people here in Brazil as my friends and thinking how I can best serve and help them by bringing them this unique message.
The work in our new area really starts this week. We are gonna hit the ground running. We are pretty much opening the area cause we are both somewhat new here, but we´ve got a couple good people we are teaching that are already established. The ward is super great here and helps a ton and gives referrals and stuff.
Love you guys! Have a great week.
